Program Description

Students in SRU Theatre programs develop their artistry through hands-on experiences beginning year one. A brand-new performing arts center, professionally-run shops, regular trips abroad to attend the Edinburgh Fringe Fesitval, and small classes all contribute to the solid training SRU students receive. SRU provides a solid education and training at an affordable cost.

History of School/ Department

Founded in 1889, Slippery Rock University is a four-year, public, co-educational comprehensive university offering a broad array of undergraduate and select graduate programs to more than 8500 students. The campus is located about an hour north of Pittsburgh, in the borough of Slippery Rock in Butler County, Pennsylvania, a safe and friendly community of approximately 3500 people.
